Fishing Friends,
What a GREAT Week we had on RC as the Catchin' continued to be AWESOME, the Winds subsided, and the Old Friends and new Customers kept us on the Lake almost everyday!
It was great to fish with folks we hadn't seen since last year, and I had the opportunity to fish with three new Kiddo Customers (Olivia, Sophia and Zoie who are pictured below) and their Dad on Friday afternoon.
On every trip, we managed a nice box of fish and on my Saturday AM and PM trips, we once again had the problem of "limiting out" with our 50 fish early in the trip, and then did Catch & Release for an hour or so.
What a nice problem too have!!!
Most of our fish are coming on 1 oz. RSR Glitter Slabs, but we're also experiencing some great early morning Top Water and Rat-L-Trap fish for about an hour each day.
Seems that the warm weather has the fish thinking it's Summertime already!
We're catching most of our AM fish off Ferguson Point and then the 309 Flats, and our PM fish off Pelican Island.
Really, the fish are biting just about all over the Lake right now.
Keep an eye out for the Terns and Egrets and they will help lead you to the baitfish and fish.
It's time to start thinking about that Summer Trip with the Kids and Grandkids.
Or maybe you want to get a Business, Church or Family Group together.
Remember, we can do a Shore Lunch Fish Fry for your Group Trip if you can fish on a Weekday!
While we have plenty of Weekday openings May thru July, our Saturdays are limited.
Here's the few Saturdays we have a boat open during the next few months:
*May 28th (Memorial Day Weekend)...Afternoon Opening
*June 4th, 11th and 25th....One boat open each Morning
*July 9th & 16th....Both Boats open each Morning
Give us a call at 903-389-4117 or e-mail us at simmonsroyce@hotmail.com if we can be of Service!
Have a Great Week!
