Fishing Friends,
Spring is coming to a close and Summer is on the way as we begin my favorite month of the Springtime!
I really like fishing in May as the fish are coming off their Spawn, aggressively feeding, and hopefully we leave behind some of the WINDS that challenged us most of March and April!
Adam and I want to THANK all of our Great Customers and Friends who made the first four months of 2011 the busiest late Winter and Spring we've experienced in our 10 years of Guiding.
Even though we did experience those previously mentioned strong winds much of the Spring, it very rarely kept us off the Lake and didn't stop us from Catchin' lots of Whites and Hybrids with our Customers.
Richland Chambers is in good shape as the water level is only about 2 1/2 feet low and this is after the very dry period we've experienced the past six months.
We do need the rain, but even if we don't get any measurable precipitation before Summer, we will still be able to fish on through till we do!
The White Bass action has been AWESOME the past few months and we expect it to keep on getting better as we head into the Top Water bite we'll start to experience soon!
We're already catching lots of fish on the AM trips on Rat-L-Traps and Swim Baits, but our Go To Bait continues to be the 1 oz. RSR Slabs that we use every trip. Check out their new "Blaze" Slab.
The locations we have and will continue to catch our Whites/Hybrids at include the South Shoreline from the Windsock Point to Ferguson Point, Pelican Island, the 309 Flats and the Hwy 287 Roadbed.
If you don't catch them at these locations, something is wrong!
Adam didn't fish too many Crappie Trips this Spring, but several he did conduct yielded some nice fish.
Most came on minnows in the shallow water around Boat Docks and in the backs of Creeks and Coves where the fish were spawning. The Crappie will now be on the Bridges, Timber and deep water locations as the Summer nears.
Keep us in mind as you make your plans for the Summer months.
We fish everyday except for Sunday and continue to offer Morning and Afternoon trips till it gets too hot to be comfortable in the Afternoons.
Also we're still offering the BEST DEAL going with our "Package Special" of a Fishing Trip for Two, Cabin and Lunch for $299!
Give us a call and Let's Go Catchin'!
Thanks for the report and pic Royce! E T Fishin'
