Fishing Friends,
Last week was another challenging week in regard to the WINDY conditions that limited where we could take our Customers to fish!
But, we got EVERY trip in and caught fish on EVERY outing by staying out of the Wind on the South Shoreline from Fisherman's Point to Ferguson Point.
We didn't limit out on White Bass every trip like we normally do, but we did have a box full of fish every time and plenty of fish fry material!
I conducted 10 trips and Adam conducted 8 trips from Monday thru Saturday, and we were certainly ready to take our day off on Sunday after fighting the 25 MPH Plus South Winds much of the week.
Adam did have a very good Crappie trip on Wednesday when his two Customers caught lots of fish and kept 32 Big Ones!
Also, Adam had the largest fish every caught by one of his Customers.....a 60 LB. Flathead Catfish on Saturday, the 16th.
Kevin Fox of Dallas managed to catch this Monster and he now has his personal best Hybrid Striper (10 LBs.) and his Largest Fish ever with both being caught while fishing with Adam on Richland Chambers.
We're catching 90% of our fish on RSR 1 oz. Silver Glitter or Chartreuse Slabs, but the fish are also beginning to chase the shad to the surface, and some of our fish are coming on Blue/Chrome 1/4 oz. Rat-L-Traps.
Check out the 309 Flats early for the bigger Hybrid Stripers.
My trip on Saturday Morning resulted in 5 BIG Hybrids up to 6 LBS., and several smaller ones.
Our calendar is filled for this coming week, but we have lots of Weekdays we need to fill starting in May.
We are almost booked completely on our Saturdays till June, but if you have a date you want to reserve, give us a call and we'll try and accommodate you. We have a couple of Part-time Guides helping us now.
If you're looking for a Saturday in June or July, you need to contact us now as about half our Saturdays for that timeframe are booked. We're still offering Morning and Afternoon trips and will do so until it gets too hot to be comfortable.
The young man pictured in this week's report is 4 year old Mason from Houston.
He and Mom and Dad fished with me last week.
Mason kept a rod in his hand the entire trip and caught most all of the fish by himself.
He just may be the best YOUNG ANGLER I've ever fished with!
Have a great day and hope to see you soon!
Thanks for the update Royce! E T Fishin'
